On this last Sunday of not only are we drawing to the close of the old year, but we have also reached the end of the present series of studies in the book of Acts. With Chapter 21 we will begin a new series, in which we will see Paul in a role different from any we have seen him perform before in Acts, i.e., as a prisoner of the Lord.

As I said, I first learned that the book of Acts was about what the Apostles were doing. Then I learned that – no – it was really about what the Holy Spirit was doing. And as you read the book yourself, you’ll probably discover (as I have) that it is sometimes about what all of the Apostles are doing, or what the Holy Spirit is doing.

But it is often also about what the whole church was doing, or. 1 Start by showing the child the Wordless Book. 2 Flip through the pages and tell the child that this is a very special book.

It tells a very important story using only colors. There are no words. The beginning of the story is the same as the ending. (Show the child the Gold spreads at the front and back of the Wordless Book.). 3 Return to the first gold spread to begin explaining the plan.

Paul was known as a speaker, one who preached the word of God, and with that, as distinct from acts, Gallio had nothing to do.

The "names" were those which he had probably heard of at Rome, even before he came to Corinth. Acts 26 New King James Version (NKJV) Paul’s Early Life. 26 Then Agrippa said to Paul, “You are permitted to speak for yourself.” So Paul stretched out his hand and answered for himself: 2 “I think myself happy, King Agrippa, because today I shall answer for myself before you concerning all the things of which I am accused by the Jews, 3 especially because you are expert in all customs.

Acts 7 Living Bible (TLB). 7 Then the High Priest asked him, “Are these accusations true?” 2 This was Stephen’s lengthy reply: “The glorious God appeared to our ancestor Abraham in Iraq [] before he moved to Syria,* 3 and told him to leave his native land, to say good-bye to his relatives and to start out for a country that God would direct him to.
